    About the Role

    The laboratory in Birmingham is a UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) microbiology laboratory and is in partnership with University Hospitals Birmingham Trust (UHB).  The microbiology partnership provides comprehensive microbiology services and specialist services to Birmingham Heartlands Hospital, Good Hope Hospital in Sutton Coldfield, Solihull Hospital and general practitioners throughout the area. You would handle all correspondence, including opening, redirecting, distribution and drafting of replies to all mail and be responsible for day-to-day diary management, including arranging, coordinating meetings and resolving conflicting diary appointments.

    Main Duties

    • Provide a comprehensive secretarial/administration service, organising and making arrangements, typing and distributing documents and reports, recording information and filing and ensuring that all information and documentation are produced to expected standards of performance and according to agreed timescales.
    • Proactively manage diary commitments by liaising with others, internally and externally, ensuring that all the required preparation is accurate and available and that the Team are briefed on any difficulties, problems or issues.
    • Build and maintain constructive relationships with others, within Public Health England and externally to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of services
    • Be fully conversant with all required electronic systems for correspondence, including specialist computer systems associated with the management of the service including Share point and NHS.net

    Within Ambulatory Care we care for and deliver treatment to patients with haematological disorders who are at all stages of their cancer journey, this includes patients who are undergoing bone marrow transplantation and CAR-T Cell Therapy. We are a fast-paced innovative new service that promotes independence for patients.

    Ambulatory Care enables patients to receive the same life-saving treatment that the inpatient setting offers but in a more relaxed setting that enables the patient to return home at the end of the day to their families. This innovative approach enables patients to maintain independence and normality during such a challenging time in their lives.

    This role also comes with the opportunity to experience working between alternative areas within the directorate when required, with the main focus remaining in the Ambulatory Care unit.

    We are the Data Analytics and Insights team for Global Revenue Operations. Our vision is to be the centre of excellence for Analytics, Insights, Functional Reporting and Internal Controls.     Main Duties

    • As a member of the Data Analytics and Insights team, you are responsible for the day-to-day monitoring of billing platforms and collections performance.
    • You will be supported and guided in designing data-led controls and monitoring tools using data analytics in SQL, and Tableau to improve the performance of end-to-end collections processes.
    • Working closely with the wider Global Revenue Operations team, you will complete route cause analysis, and investigations and gather requirements to help resolve technical, business and operational issues. You will support the business by completing client requests for data and reporting, as well as using data to problem solve.
    • Support the Analytics function in designing processes to support monitoring and enhancement of all collections-related processes.
    • Work on analytics activities to support the reporting requirements for the Global Revenue Operations footprint considering the complexities of any local data regulations.
    • Manage and build relationships with other functions and stakeholders (e.g. Accounting, Systems, Product, Finance and the Business) to drive forward analytics projects proactively.
    • Create and design new value-adding analytical processes that drive billing and collections efficiencies and capture issues.

    Qualifications

    • The successful candidate will have data analysis experience, strong communication skills and the ability to communicate and influence across the organisation.
    • They will be highly driven and focused on delivering quality outputs under tight timescales, and have proven experience of delivery across cross-functional teams.
    • The candidate will also have intermediate to advanced level MS Excel skills as well as intermediate to advanced level SQL skills.
    • Tableau experience is also beneficial but not essential. Ideally, the successful candidate will have worked in a large organisation previously, specifically in a financial-orientated department.

    About the Role

    As the business continues to expand, we are looking to recruit a Customer Service Advisor to join our team in Glasgow.  As a Customer Service Advisor, you will be on the front line with customers, handling queries and ensuring full customer satisfaction.
