    Arizona State University is currently accepting applications from African students for the Innovation and Technology Scholarship (funded by the Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program) at the University.

    In partnership with the Mastercard Foundation, Arizona State University will provide a 9-month comprehensive academic and practical training in artificial intelligence (AI) and business for selected Mastercard Foundation Scholars. The Program seeks to cultivate leadership, entrepreneurship and AI technical skills, enabling students to become AI leaders equipped to tackle challenges in Africa and around the globe. 5 Scholarships are available for students admitted for the 2024/2025 academic year, which will cover the full tuition fees, expenses for accommodation, and comprehensive support. On top of financial support, Scholars will participate in activities as part of the wider Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program at Arizona State University, including leadership curriculum, individual mentorship, and other events and programming. Women, refugees displaced persons, and people with disabilities are strongly encouraged to apply. ASU is committed to enhancing the quality of students’ educational experience by ensuring accessibility for all programs and services.

    The Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program at ASU provides access to quality education to high-achieving African students who face significant economic barriers. Phase I provided access to undergraduate degrees to 120 African students. The Program is currently in its Phase II with a special focus on Strengthening Institutional Linkages.  The 3+1+1 is in partnership with the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology and Ashesi University where students complete their first three years of undergraduate degrees at the two partner institutions and an accelerated Masters degree at ASU in the fields of engineering and business. The Program is currently in its eighth cohort of fifty-nine students from seven African countries.

    Eligibility Criteria for the Scholarship

    1. Applicants must qualify academically for admission to the degree of their choice which includes English proficiency.

    2. Applicants must be a citizens of an African country committed to ethical leadership and demonstrated engagement in their community.

    3. Applicants must be between the ages of 18 and 33 on or before the application deadline.

    4. Applicants must demonstrate a track record of leadership and service in their community.

    5. Applicants must demonstrate academic excellence and ambitions that exceed their financial resources.

    6. Applicants must have earned an undergraduate degree with a required minimum of 4 years of study, conferred by July 2024. 

    7. Applicants must not have started or completed other graduate or master’s degrees before August 2024. 

    8. Applicants must be able to live in Phoenix, Arizona for the duration of the program.

    9. Applicants are recommended to have a solid foundation in mathematics, statistics and computer science.

    • Criteria 1: You must hold an offer to study a full-time taught master’s course at one of UAL’s Colleges and Institutes starting in 2024/25.
    • Your course must offer either a Grad Dip, M ARCH, MA, MFA, MBA, MRes or MSc qualification.
    • Your course must be delivered full-time in person in London. Online and low residency courses are not eligible.
    • You are not eligible to apply if you already hold a UK postgraduate taught qualification (or one at an equivalent level) from studies undertaken in the UK or abroad.
    • Criteria 2: You need to be ordinarily resident in one of the low-income economy countries detailed in our list of qualifying countries. The list excludes the following developed countries: Canada, China, Japan, the UK, the USA, and the European Union/EEA member states. If your country is not on the list you may be eligible for other funding options, including the UAL International Postgraduate £7,000 Scholarship.

    Sabanci University is now accepting applications from International Students for its undergraduate and postgraduate scholarship programmes. These scholarships are fully funded and cover accommodation, living expenses, et cetera.     With science, technology, and social structures advancing day by day, the world needs more qualified individuals who possess the knowledge and skills required to pursue a career anywhere in the world. Aware of this pressing issue, in 1994 the Sabancı Group decided to establish a “world university” led by the Sabancı Foundation.

    The seeds of Sabancı University, the Sabancı Group’s most comprehensive social responsibility project in the field of education, were sown in the summer of 1995, at a search conference in which 50 academics from 22 countries as well as students and representatives from the private sector participated. The conference, however, was just the beginning, as it marked the start of an extensive process during which the leading educational institutions in Turkey and across the world were examined to find out how they work and identify the fundamentals that made them successful.

    Eligibility Criteria for the Scholarship

    For undergraduate admission

    • Students who have graduated from an institution equivalent to Turkish high schools and those who are in their last year of high school may apply to the undergraduate programs
    • Candidates should submit one of the exams/diplomas with a valid score accepted by the University and enter their exam or diploma information and the score correctly on the online application form.

    For postgraduate admission

    • Hold an undergraduate degree with or be registered in the last term of an undergraduate program
    • Candidates applying for the PhD Programs with a BA degree must hold a 3.00/4.00 GPA. The candidates who graduated from institutions which apply a scale other than the “X out of 4.00” system must provide a conversion table or an official letter of evidence from their institutions.
    • Candidates applying for the PhD Programs with a Master’s Degree must hold a “Master with Thesis” degree. Candidates whose diplomas or transcripts do not contain such information must provide an official letter of evidence from their institutions.

    Admission conditions for each graduate program offered by Sabanci University are determined by the respective graduate schools in line with the specific requirements of the program.

    1. A copy of one of the exam/diploma result(s) with a valid score accepted by Sabancı University
    2. If graduated, High School Diploma (if in another language other than Turkish or English, a notarized translation should also be submitted)
    3. Official transcript, showing all courses and grades taken in the entire high school education, approved by the high school authority. Uploaded transcripts that are without a wet signature and stamp or without an e-signature, which can be verified online, will not be taken into consideration.

    Master’s Eligibility Criteria

    The scholarship supports international students pursuing a Master’s degree at Khalifa University. Scholarship eligibility is assessed as part of the admission process and applicants are not required to submit a separate scholarship application. The number of available scholarship slots is limited. All applicants are evaluated and mapped to a specific scholarship Tier on the basis of academic merit and other relevant factors, in line with Khalifa University’s strategic priorities, rules and regulations. Meeting the eligibility criteria for a specific Tier does not guarantee a scholarship award.

    • Be a foreign national
    • Completion of a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline with a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 3.0 out of 4.0, or equivalent (e.g. an upper second-class honours in a UK-style degree, from a reputable accredited institution).
    • A minimum level of English proficiency in the form of either:
    • iBT TOEFL (internet-based test) score of 91 or equivalent, or
    • Overall academic IELTS score of 6.5, or
    • 1550 EmSAT English score
    • A minimum quantitative score of 150 in the General Graduate Record Examination (GRE) is required for admission to all Master of Science programs. Applicants must attempt all three sections of the GRE.
